Vizsla Dog Diet
You may have a special diet that you keep your Vizsla dog on but you might not have heard of this recipe; liver bread. We know it probably sounds about as appetizing to you as it does to us but by the looks of the Vizsla in the picture, he seems ready to pounce on the stuff.Dog Chef Melissa swears by the Liver Bread and Barf diet for her 4 - legged friends which she passed on to her friend Kit Richards, a Vizsla breeder in California.
The ingredients to the liver bread are basically, 1 lb. beef liver, 2 cups flour and ½ teaspoon garlic powder. Sounds simple enough. For more details on this tasty treat go to panamagourmet.blogs.com.

I just rescued a vizsla who is in great condition after living as a street dog in a small rural town for ten months. My last vizsla died of liver failure at age ten and I wondered if her diet (basic kibble) had anything to do with it. Is there any reason to give a vizsla a special diet, or will she be OK with kibble. Should I feed her organic (expensive) kibble, something along the lines of IAMS, or grocery store Kibbles n'Bits?
