Compare Vizsla Dogs To German Short Haired Pointers

Recently, someone posted online a question comparing Vizsla dogs to German short haired pointers. They wanted a hunting dog but also one that was a good family dog.

The response was that German short haired pointers are very excellent hunting dogs and that they would probably rather hunt than almost anything else, including eating. But overall the Vizsla's, who are excellent hunters as well, are the best family dog to have. They grow quite attatched to their owners and families and are very loving. Where the German short haired will sit at a window and look for anything that moves outside.

So if you want to get attached to your dog as well as have a great hunting partner, you might want to stick with the Vizsla's.
